Pick Patek drops off visuals for his latest single “ROBUST”. Although born and raised in Philadelphia, the 22 year old rapper is currently based in Long Beach, California. Pick began making beats and recording music on Garageband as early as the 5th grade. Up until about 2 years ago, he didn’t even consider music to be a viable career option. Pick Patek cited that his biggest inspirations include those of Kanye West, Future, Chance the Rapper and A$AP Rocky. Earlier this summer, Pick released his track “GUAP” which performed very well. As for his next release, he plans to switch up the style to match the fall energy.
Pick Patek’s “ROBUST” released to all platforms on June 25th. The visuals were to follow as they released to YouTube on September 3rd. “ROBUST” was the first song Pick Patek released with notable producer Kimchi, who has collaborated with the likes of Polo G, TheHxliday and more. Pick wrote the hook and then ProdOMG contributed the drums. The song itself is an upbeat club banger with some resemblance to a vibe Jack Harlow and Young Dolph typically give out. The visuals, shot by One Eyed King Films, perfectly tie the song and video together as one. While surrounded by large amounts of cash, Pick claims “getting money and losing friends is all part of growing up”. As for Pick’s goals as an artist here’s what he had to say. “I want to inspire and connect with people on all levels. I want people to know they are heard and they can be themselves, because being myself is something I think is so important and I work on it every day.” To sum up, Pick Patek is surely one of the most versatile upcoming artists we’ve seen and covered so far.
