California artist Mike Soy is making waves with his song “Navigate”. The 20 year old was born in Torrance California, and now resides in Joshua Tree, California. Mike’s journey as a musician began with his friend Nick and him starting recording on Garageband with a Blue Yeti Microphone. Right away he wanted to create a catchy feeling with his bars and have fun trying to come up with great lyrics for an amazing beat. His lyrics consisted of stories of hanging out with friends, skateboarding, their lifestyle, etc. Mike Soy began making music in 8th grade going into his freshman year of high school. Mike stated some of his biggest musical inspirations were Lil Skies, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, The Doors, The Gorillaz, and Linkin Park.
