Straight out of Union, New Jersey, OFR is a rising rap duo made up of two 22-year-old artists who turned their high school passion into a movement. Officially forming in June 2022, they’ve been making noise ever since with a unique sound that blends hip hop, trap, and heavy metal influences.
Their latest single, “G.O.W”, off the Wicked Nights EP, shows just how far they’ve come — raw, emotional, and effortless in execution. Coming up next on April 18th, they’re dropping “Dog Fights,” a project they say came together just as naturally, built off pure energy and instinct.
Past releases like G.A.W and Weirdo took more time and back-and-forth, but these new tracks flowed in minutes. OFR credits that to tapping into what they were feeling at the time — blending the rage and emotion of influences like Nirvana, Vesal, and XXXTENTACION.
“We experiment with whatever hits — metal, trap, whatever. It’s about feeling something and letting it out,” they explain.
Though “Dog Fights” features no collaborations, the group is open to working with other artists in the future. Right now, their focus is on building their identity — not just as musicians, but as a brand and a message.
OFR stands for Out For Revenge, but it’s deeper than that. It’s about overcoming pain, embracing emotion, and pushing forward no matter what. “OFR is love, hate, peace, chaos — all of it. It’s a way for people to feel seen and heard. We want to inspire people to grow, be themselves, and never fold.”
More than a rap group, OFR is a movement. And with “Dog Fights” on the way, they’re just getting started.
