At just 21 years old, Atlanta-based artist Baby Bronco is crafting a voice that’s both reflective and raw, marked by depth, growth, and an unshakable sense of purpose showcased on his brand new single “Forbidden Fruit”. His journey into music began in 2020, a time spent experimenting and discovering his sound. By early 2021, he stepped into the spotlight, dropping his first releases alongside close friend and collaborator Vlientele. Together with their mutual friend Karl, they formed a creative collective known as 8 – a group that has grown and evolved but remained anchored in the vision they started with.
Since its inception, 8 has become a space for like-minded artists to build, experiment, and support one another. While members have come and gone, Baby Bronco and his core collaborators have stayed focused on growth—both as a unit and as individual artists. That growth is evident not just in his music, but in the way he speaks about it.
His list of musical inspirations reads like a who’s who of genre-defining figures: Childish Gambino, Tyler, the Creator, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, MF DOOM, and Earl Sweatshirt were some of the first artists to ignite his passion for rap. But as Baby Bronco developed, his influences expanded beyond the traditional borders of hip-hop. Mavi, Vince Staples, Mac Miller, Rome Streetz, Saba, and MIKE deepened his understanding of lyrical storytelling and emotional honesty. Beyond the realm of rap, groups like Gorillaz, Sublime, Radiohead, and Paris Texas opened up a whole new world of sound—experimental, genre-blending, and bold. For Baby Bronco, these artists didn’t just shape his taste—they shaped his identity.
That layered musical identity is all over his recent releases. “Timeless,” a collaboration with Vlientele, captures the spirit of personal evolution. It’s a track about legacy—how far he’s come, and how he wants to be remembered. “VOGUE,” featuring Young Karl, leans into groove and confidence, serving up style and swagger with ease. “Hard Truths” digs deeper, stripping things back to show a more vulnerable side, while still carrying a bounce that invites connection. And then there’s “U.G.K,” a showcase of lyrical bravado where Baby Bronco steps fully into his ego, reminding listeners of the skill and confidence that anchor his artistry.
His most recent release finds inspiration in real life—reflecting on friendships tested by temptation, the tension between ambition and integrity, and the isolation that can come with staying true to yourself in a world that often pushes conformity. “I don’t want to be somebody’s puppet or spokesperson,” he says. “I want to speak for myself and myself alone.” It’s a candid look at the sacrifices that come with authenticity, and a reaffirmation of his commitment to telling his own story, his way.
Through it all, Baby Bronco’s mission remains clear: to express himself at the highest possible level and to inspire others to do the same. He hopes his music can spark the same fire in others that his favorite artists lit in him—to create boldly, dream wildly, and stay rooted in the truth of who they are.
Looking ahead, he’s working on his next major project, Mr. Valentine, which he hopes to release sometime between now and next year. Until then, fans can expect a steady stream of new singles and collaborations—each one a new chapter in a story that’s still being written.
In a city as rich in talent as Atlanta, Baby Bronco isn’t just finding his place—he’s forging his own path, with heart, skill, and vision.
