At just 24, this Duluth, MN native has been honing his craft since he was a kid, writing lyrics fueled by the raw energy of Eminem and the genius of Kendrick Lamar. It all started in 2013 when Hollow was on a family road trip, and Eminem’s “Berzerk” came blaring through the car speakers. That moment sparked something in him. His sister was already into hip-hop, and Hollow quickly fell down the YouTube rabbit hole, soaking in the sounds of Eminem, Dr. Dre, NWA, and Kendrick Lamar. By the time Kendrick dropped “To Pimp a Butterfly” Hollow knew he had to start writing his own music.
At just 14, he penned his first song and began spending hours every night, perfecting his bars with one goal in mind—being the best. Influenced by Kendrick’s lyrical precision and MF DOOM’s otherworldly wordplay, Hollow Profit’s music oozes passion and unique rhythm. He’s spent years crafting his style, and it shows. His recent work includes four singles building up to “CUIBONO?” plus a ten-track LP, The Prelude. But make no mistake, Hollow sees this new album as his first serious project.
Featuring a stacked lineup of collabs—Nomrah, Dango Forlaine, Ronnie Alpha, Ty Farris, Junii, Bruiser Wolf, and more—“CUIBONO?” is about to be the real deal. With production from 47 Quid and some tracks dating back to 2021, the album promises depth and evolution, blending Duluth vibes with a sound that’s set to go way beyond Minnesota.
Right now, Hollow’s all about building his fan base and hopes to hit the road soon for some live shows. But he’s not just in it for the spotlight. He’s got bigger dreams. Long term, he wants to build a recording studio in Duluth and help cultivate the local talent, making moves as an executive producer and helping other artists find their own voice.
